Using the Specialty Coffee Association of America, SCAA, Q testing system; we test all of our coffee to ensure it reaches a specialty rating of Q 80 or higher.
This testing is conducted in an independent laboratory to ensure objective results. A panel of 4 trained cupping specialist taste the coffee and provide a sensorial analysis which tests acidity, body, flavor, etc. The coffee undergoes a physical analysis which tests for properties such as humidity, insect damage, and uniformity of bean size. Consistent bean size will result in better taste as the roasting process is more uniform across the batch of beans.
